The aim of Beaumont Humanist Society is to create a volunteer base to plan and act for the betterment of our city, particularly the less fortunate among us. History has shown us that sometimes all it takes is for good people to act. Studies have said that Beaumont Texas, is the saddest, least educated, and worst city for well-being in the nation. With our efforts we will aim to alleviate the pain of some. We are humanist, which is to say we recognized the humanity in each other, and seek to end each others suffering regardless of ideology, political stance and faith or lack thereof. While the term humanist has in recent times been used mostly by atheist, we are not a atheist group, but instead a group where one's religion isn't a factor.
