We're the New York City chapter of Citizen Action of New York. We fight for racial, social, economic and environmental justice. We fight for quality affordable health care for all, jobs that pay living wages with decent benefits, expanded Medicare coverage for seniors that includes prescription drugs, strong investment in public education and after-school programs, campaign finance reform, an end to corporate tax loopholes and tax breaks for the wealthy, and consumer protections. In addition to working on issues, we work to get progressive activists elected who will turn our issues into policy and law. COMMITTEE MEETINGS: Social & Economic Justice - 1st Tuesday of the Month 6:30-8:30pm Environmental Justice - 1st Wednesday of the Month 6-8pm Racial Justice - Last Thursday of the Month 6-8pm For 27 years, Citizen Action of New York has been fighting for social, racial, and economic justice. Government must work for all of us - not just some of us! We are a grass roots, membership organization with eight chapters and affiliates throughout New York State.
