Promoting leadership among the working youth, supporting pro-laborcandidates, and fighting for working families across Colorado!As part of a national campaign by the AFL-CIO and Jobs with Justice, young workers (both union and non) are coming together inColorado to discuss the future of young workers and the labor movement.Currently in the United States, only 5% of unionized workers are underthe age of 35. Young workers are also the most likely to be treatedpoorly at work, under-paid and will have the most difficultiesrecovering from the economic recession. It is vital to the future of thelabor movement and to all workers that we mobilize and organize youngworkers, as well as build leadership among current union members. This is a pivotal moment in the labor movement and we encourage all youngunion members and workers to get involved.
