Indivisible of RVC About Us The resistance is local so WELCOME! Here’s what you need to know about Indivisible of RVC: Our mission-- with other Indivisible groups across the nation-- is to fuel a progressive grassroots network. In life, sometimes bad things turn out to be good things. Here is what is good….We are here. We have met each other. We are building a community. We are going to affect change. The last election was so divisive. There is something special and comforting about connecting with like-minded people in our own community. With that in mind, this is all of our group. Let’s all take ownership here. Here is something else you should know….we all have varying degrees of availability….maybe you’re a new mom, maybe you have a busy full time job, maybe you’re caring for children or elderly parents…..the bottom line….we want you here. We want you here in whatever capacity you are able to participate. Maybe today you can do a little, maybe tomorrow you can do more. Do what you can, where you are, with what you have. No apologies required. The goal of the group is to work on activism. To learn to trust our strength. To take initiative. To not sit idly by. To sheetcake, but then act. To stand up. To celebrate every victory. To empower each other. Let’s remember that a progressive agenda exists on a spectrum, and it all works to move us forward. We encourage critical discussion, but discourage damaging infighting on the blue spectrum. We hope to incorporate progressive activism in meaningful and sustainable ways. We want to help elect local candidates and foster a community that works with other Indivisible groups. We intend to explore candidates who align with our mission and support them the best way we can. We will post actions and local events-- including those of other groups in our area-- pieces to read. This is a place where we can organize, discuss, and ask questions. So glad you are here.
