The Morris Township Democratic Committee is organized as a municipal party committee under New Jersey Election Law, and its membership is defined by that law. A registered Democrat in Morris Township can be elected as a District Representative during even-year Democratic primary elections. District Reps serve on both the Morris Township Democratic Committee and the Morris County Democratic Committee to elect the officers of each committee. In addition or instead, some of our members serve on various MTDC internal committees for fund-raising, PR, issue research, and to sponsor an annual scholarship for a graduate of Morristown High.
