We seek to build a party and government controlled by citizens, not corporate elites, with policies that serve the broad public interest, not just private interests. Now, with an incoming out right neo-fascist Donald Trump administration we progressives need to organize and then organize some more ! PDA is all about building a grassroots populist progressive majority: the Political Revolution Senator Bernie Sanders is calling for. We launched the 'Run Bernie Run' campaign in Nov. 2013 in an effort to show Bernie had widespread support for his potential presidential campaign. PDA was the first National organization to endorse Bernie Sanders in the summer of 2015 when he jumped into the race. While some organizations kept trying to coax other people to run, we never wavered in our commitment to Bernie. We hope you will join us in this movement that PDA, and so many others are fighting for. Let's build on the Bernie Revolution and expand the Progressive movement now into 2017 and beyond. As a grassroots PAC operating inside the Democratic Party, and outside in the social movements for peace and justice. Our inside/outside strategy is guided by the belief that we must be part of a large grassroots movement for progressive long lasting change. Part of this movement building will require a revitalized Democratic Party built on firm progressive principles. PDA strives to rebuild the Democratic Party from the bottom up .....from every congressional district to statewide party structures to the corridors of power in Washington, where we work arm in arm with the Congressional Progressive Caucus headed by Co-Chairs Raul Grijalva and Keith Ellison. As we pass our 12 year anniversary it is clear that PDA and its allies have shaken up the political status-quo. On the important issues facing us all; on the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Medicare for all, voter rights, accountability, immigration reform and on social, economic and environmental justice, PDA has been on the front lines.
